WEVH Aims and Objectives

We provide education and skills training for women in the Manchester area with a particular focus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Multimedia.

We help women to find satisfying and gainful employment by providing education, training, counselling and advice.
We provide access for women to use new technologies and act as a focal point for women to influence technology policy to take account of women's needs.

We have enabled hundreds of women to return to the job market by providing vocational training in advanced technologies, particularly in ICTs and Multimedia.

We offer women access to the skills and support required to develop their own businesses and co-operatives, increasing the self-employment opportunities for women.

Using the drop-in facilities, women have the opportunity to access information, which is empowering and enables them to make more informed choices about their lives.

Using ICT skills, our users communicate with other women locally and internationally and develop their own projects that respond to the needs of women.
