Project brief:


To produce new work which responds to and uses the context of the archetypal library as its basic premise. This could include making reference to the literature on he shelves, the physicality of the location and the behaviourial patterns of staff and visitors.

To produce work which is specific to the context of the public library in its presentation and location and which can displayed in the different libraries involved in the project. This could include presenting the work as a free standing object or one that sits on the shelves.

Missing Pages consists of work by six visual artists and two writers which is touring to seven Lancashire County libraries during 1999-2000. The libraries involved are in Accrington, Barnoldswick, Burnley, Fleetwood, Leyland, Morecambe and Ormskik.
