Quotes from previous students

"I gained confidence,
not so quick to
belittle what I know"

'I realised how capable
I am and that I can do it.
Feel able and confident in offering my services, …… now I'm full of ideas and enthusiasm and desire to try stuff out'

"I can (now) stand up
in front of a group
of people and
speak"

'I feel I have learned a lot
more than I expected
to, especially from the
point of view of
understanding others and understanding myself.
I became more
aware of situations which
I would not
have previously even noticed'

JEB Certificate in Education Practice: ICT Skills (formerly the JEB Certificate in IT Skills)

The JEB Certificate in Education Practice is an excellent introduction to teaching and learning ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies).

It is for women who are

  • new to teaching and learning who want to work in adult, community and further education
  • already working in adult, community and further education and want to explore the specifics of teaching and learning ICTs
  • working with school children as a teacher or teaching assistant and want to explore the specifics of teaching and learning ICTs

You can enhance the practice and theory you cover in the classroom by taking advantage of our volunteering opportunities which involve supporting classes, drop-ins and community provision.
