Winning
Partnerships: Launch of Web Site for North West Charity
Paws
for Kids, a unique charity in the UK which fosters the pet animals
of women and children escaping domestic violence has just launched
its new web site as a result of a collaboration with the Women's
Electronic Village Hall (Women's EVH).
Paws
for Kids wanted a re-design of their existing site, to support them
the Women's EVH provided a volunteer to work closely with the organisation
to develop the design and structure of the site. The finished site
is the first web site produced through the Women's EVH Community
Outreach Project WICOP (Women's Information and Community Outreach
Project).
Mandy
Knott from Paws for Kids says, 'We desperately wanted to use
the new technology of the internet to publicise our work. Working
with WICOP has been an absolute god send to us. We are a very busy
project providing a direct service for families in crisis - so we
just don't have the time to give to developing an in depth web-site
by ourselves. The WICOP volunteer was extremely experienced and
has done a fantastic job.'
Visit
the Paws for Kids web
site. Go to the WICOP site to find out more
about its work.
