jobs database held by Job Centres is available online at www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk
and can be used in the same way. In addition, the site gives information
about the advisor services offered by Job Centres for job-searchers,
in particular: training, benefits, services for disabled jobseekers
and government employment schemes.

Offers database searches for all categories of jobs, and for
public sector jobs specifically. The site is related to the Manchester
Evening News, so it has a lot of up-to-date info on jobs.

on jobseeking, cvs, application forms and interviews.

- This site doesn’t actually lists jobs, but it does give a lot
of links to recruitment agents and other jobs listings.

- The Guardian site carries listings of their recruitment pages.
You can only search by job type and then by area, which is a bit
irritating, but OK if you want to move away from Manchester.

Many
institutions give recruitment info on the internet. You can often
download all the details, application forms and background info
direct from the site. Some even accept emailed applications, so
